How to Become a Morning Person – Wake Up Easier

How To L O V E  Every Morning, And begin Waking Up Easier

The first step to become more productive, is to Become a Morning Person

This is from my point of view, and what I do on a day to day basis. This may not work for you, and that is fine, maybe some of these tips can help you to create your own perfect morning routine.

Once Your Life Starts To Look Exactly Like This Cycle – Its Time To Change

  1. Wake up
  2. Go to school/work
  3. Come home
  4. Eat
  5. Watch TV
  6. Shower
  7. Sleep

Boring right? Yes.

Now is the time to really start doing something, anything!
But make sure it is enhancing your life in anyway, either it is making you happier, healthier, Earning more money if you need too, or increasing your overall goal of being exactly who you want to be, and if you want to be someone who repeats the seven stage cycle everyday, then that is perfectly fine, I just wouldn’t advise it.

These few bullet points are little things I always hear from my Dad, (sorry Dad I might have changed the sentences to be a bit smaller, you talk a lot).

  • Every day counts
  • You only lose time, you don’t gain it.
  • Make the most of your life
  • Stop regretting your decisions
  • Do what makes you happy

My Advice On Becoming A Morning Person

So after that mini life lesson lecture, back to becoming better at getting out of bed.

First of all, to get out of bed, you need to get in it, and have a really good sleep, I am no expert but I am sure you should be having around eight hours sleep, or more if you wish, I guess that is fine if you want to, but for some reason, if I do sleep for longer, I feel tired a lot quicker, so maybe that’s not a good idea..

Either have a shower before bed, or in the morning. I used to shower in the morning when I was still going to school. Now that I work, I shower the night before in the hope that I get more sleep. I also find it really un-fun (not a word) to wake up earlier to shower, and being tired in the shower, you end up taking forever and wasting time, therefore having to rush to get to wherever you are going!
(To avoid rushing, prepare your stuff the night before, so you can grab and go once you are dressed and ready.)

Set an alarm, with a nice calming song, I have mine get increasing louder, so I dont jump out of my skin in the morning. However always remember, whatever song you choose, you will probably end up hating it, so dont use your all time favourite song!

As soon as I get up, I make my bed. This means it is ready for me to get back into it later, but I dont want to get back into it in the morning and mess it all up!
Keeping my bedroom tidy also helps, tidy room = tidy mind = happier me!

Turn your lights on. I always add some light into the room, and open my curtains. If you keep your bedroom dark, you are of course going to stay tired, so that’s the reason behind blinding yourself a little bit in the morning (not literally).

Drink some water to refresh yourself, and wash away some of that morning breath. Hydrate your body with water, you should be drinking a ton of it a day anyway. Have your first glass of water in the morning, to wake yourself up.

Have a few stretches. Maybe a little bit of morning yoga. Bend and touch your toes and all that jazz, you know, to keep you flexible and ready for the day.

Get ready.

I make sure that my uniform is ready for me to put on as soon as I get up, you can get ready anything you need for the next day. That way, you wont need to rush and worry.
I advise putting on some music or the tv on in the background. I only do this because having silence in the morning makes me more tired.

ALWAYS have breakfast. It is the most important meal of the day, so there you go, you must do it. You can even plan what you are going to have the night before so you have one less worry. Have a cup of tea, try not to have hot chocolate or anything you would traditionally drink ‘before bed’. I always try to have a peppermint tea, its very strong, and most definitely wakes you up!

Be sure the keep an eye on the time. You don’t want to be late. Set your alarm according to how long it will take you to get ready. A little tip that I use is to set it even earlier so I can snooze for an extra ten mins. But be out of that deep sleep. I find this helps me get out of bed instead of having to jump up. So setting it to ten minutes before you need to leave, is not a good idea.

After all this, all you need to do is grab your keys, your bag and whatever else you need to take with you or wear, and go! Have a great day after a lovely morning.

I hope this has helped, thank you for reading.

These are really great tips and I drinking water in the morning isn’t a tip I hear very often but I do think it really helps. I wake up in the morning, do some exercise to get my brain going and then I’ll drink about a water bottle amount of water and it peps me up so much!
